Common questions
Where is my data kept?
Only on your iPhone or iPad. Judges Walk has no account and no server. Stops, photos, volunteers, sessions and the judges' pack stay on the device and are deleted when you delete the app.
How do I replace the sample village with my own route?
Open Walk, tap the gear for Settings, then choose "Start an empty season". Add your stops in the order the judges walk them with the + button. If you'd rather edit the sample, just rename and rearrange its stops.
How does the watering schedule work?
Each stop has its own schedule: how many days between watering, a separate interval for June to August, and intervals for deadheading and weeding. Weather isn't taken into account. Change any of it on the stop's page under "How often".
Why am I not getting the morning rota reminder?
Switch on "Morning rota nudge" on the Rota screen and allow notifications when asked. If you said no earlier, go to the iPhone Settings app, then Notifications, then Judges Walk, and allow them.
Can I use my own competition's criteria?
Yes. In Portfolio, tap Criteria to rename, add, reorder or delete headings, or switch between the RHS pillars and the Austrian Blumenschmuck headings. Evidence moves across when you switch.
How do I get the judges' pack out of the app?
Open Portfolio and tap "Export as PDF". You can print it, save it to Files or send it with any app on the share sheet.
Does the app score our entry or contact the judges?
No. Judges Walk is a planner for your group only. It doesn't score, predict awards or contact any competition organiser.
